CAD
Computer-aided design usually takes place with programs such as AutoCAD ®. visual FM offers a convenient interface to different CAD products.
The link between CAD and visual FM is provided by LHCAD. In addition to bi-directional data exchange, various analysis possibilities such as shading and visualization, LHCAD offers a large range of services. It is characterized by its user-friendly menu, transparency and efficiency.
Import and export rules can be defined with the aid of diagrams. This configuration is supported by a comprehensive and easy-to-use wizard. In addition to the spatial data, any data from CAD drawings and databases used for various applications can be used, displayed, and analysed. Space management, relocation management, tree structures, outdoor facilities, cleaning management, occupancy management, inventory, rental management and key management are only some of the possible applications.
An important advantage is that little or no adjustments are required for existing drawings.
When first recorded, the square footage of the room book is read from the plan, even if no geometry exists.
The customized calculations are automated and integrated into AutoCAD features. It is not necessary to create attributes to achieve this. With FESA, rooms can be measured and connected to visual FM with LHCAD.
Different relationships between objects and rooms are automatically detected or can be assigned. Design and/or trigger areas are automatically included in area calculation.
An object selected in visual FM can be the same shade in several drawings. Furthermore, you are able to display analyses through layering of shades. These shades can be switched on or off or eventually deleted.
